AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE:AER) recently celebrated a major achievement with its 100th Boeing 787 delivery, marking the 25th Dreamliner for Aeroméxico. The company also delivered its 10th Boeing 787 through a lease agreement to Grupo Aeroméxico. This milestone strengthens AerCap's strategic position in the widebody leasing market, as the airline faces constrained aircraft supply.

The 787 is considered one of the most attractive widebody aircraft, offering passenger comfort, performance, and operating economics that will aid Aeroméxico's expansion and fleet sustainability. AerCap is a segment leader in the Boeing 787 program, holding the largest 787 order book among lessors, with roughly 140 aircraft either owned or on order.

The recent delivery bolsters AerCap's pricing power and negotiating advantages with airline customers. As of June-end, AerCap's portfolio consisted of 3,567 aircraft, helicopters, and engines, with 1,461 owned, 1,404 leased, and 57 marketed, sold, or re-leased. The company has committed to buying 379 additional aircraft by 2034, including 15 Boeing 787s added to the pipeline.
