Witkoff, Kushner Reportedly to Visit Moscow Before Kyiv on Sept. 5-6

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that US officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may be arriving in Kyiv in the near future. The Ukrainian leader made the announcement the day prior, according to UATV English. President Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine is continuously working on peace negotiations with the American side, with communication between the two teams occurring continuously. The two sides are currently gearing up for additional meetings as part of the negotiation process.

During a recent meeting, Zelenskyy stated that he had been discussing negotiations with a team representing the US president. He emphasized that they are in constant contact with this team, maintaining communication around the clock. The Ukrainian delegation has been informed that there will be meetings with representatives of the US president in both Moscow and Kyiv. Zelenskyy confirmed that these meetings are expected to take place within the coming days.

Zelenskyy stressed the importance of these meetings, stating that it is crucial for America to remain active in the negotiations. He expressed readiness to welcome the US representatives at the appropriate level, focusing on substantive discussions. It is worth noting that on August 31, President Zelenskyy spoke with representatives of US President Donald Trump, Witkoff, and Kushner via phone. They discussed ongoing negotiations and the possibility of an American delegation visiting Ukraine.
