UP Special TET 2026 Registration Begins Tomorrow At upessc.up.gov.in; Check Eligibility, Application Fee & Exam Pattern

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will commence the registration process for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026 from September 5, 2026. The announcement of the Special TET comes in response to recent Supreme Court directives requiring teachers working at the primary and upper primary levels, as well as special teachers for Children With Special Needs (CWSN), to pass the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

The registration process begins with an One-Time Registration (OTR), which must be completed prior to applying for the examination. The detailed advertisement and instruction booklet can be accessed on the official UPESSC website, upessc.up.gov.in. The application fee ranges from ₹300 to ₹1,000, depending on the category of the candidate, and can be paid online through various payment methods.

Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the application. Eligible applicants include teachers working in primary and upper primary schools run by the Uttar Pradesh Government, as well as special educators working at the primary and upper primary levels. The examination is scheduled for November 3, 2026.
