The 21-year-old college student and the 41-year-old lorry driver were traveling in opposite directions.

According to Lee, the 41-year-old motorcyclist attempted to overtake a vehicle and collided with the motorcycle ridden by the 21-year-old victim, who was traveling straight in his lane. The impact resulted in severe head and body injuries for both victims.
Neither of the motorcycles sustained any damage other than front-end damage, leading to their transport to the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) in Alor Gajah for further examination. Post-mortem examinations were conducted at the Jasin Hospital Forensic Unit following the identification of the bodies. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
