Toxic Box Office Collection Day 9: Yash's Film Faces Another Dip, Collects ₹4.25 Crore In India Amid Criticism

Yash's film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is struggling at the box office, collecting an estimated Rs 4.25 crore in India on its ninth day of release. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie encountered numerous delays before finally hitting theaters on August 26, 2026. Despite being one of the most anticipated releases of the year, Toxic has left a portion of the audience disappointed, with social media and critics criticizing its narrative and execution.

According to Sacnilk, Toxic garnered Rs 5.45 crore in net collections on Day 8, but experienced a 22% decline on Day 9. The film's total India gross collection stands at around Rs 285.70 crore, while its net collection amounts to approximately Rs 239.30 crore. Overseas, Toxic earned an estimated Rs 1 crore on Day 9, bringing its total overseas gross collection to around Rs 42.75 crore. The film's estimated worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 328.45 crore.

The Hindi version of Toxic collected Rs 2.85 crore on Day 9, followed by Kannada at Rs 1.04 crore. The Telugu version generated around Rs 20 lakh, Tamil contributed Rs 15 lakh, and Malayalam contributed approximately Rs 1 lakh. However, when compared to its reported budget of Rs 500 crore, the Day 9 collection appears to be underwhelming. The outcome for Toxic will depend on the film's performance in the coming days and its lifetime run.
