Sveits-utflyttere kjøpte villa i Oslo – vil ikke svare på om han skal flytte hjem

Peder Ludvig Monrad Lorentzen and his wife Elisabeth Monrad-Hansen Lorentzen, who is the head of Allente in Denmark, recently purchased a villa in Oslo for 50 million kroner. The seller of the property was Oskar Bakkevig, who previously sold a villa in Oslo for 70 million kroner earlier this year. The couple is registered as having moved to Switzerland and has been living in Küsnacht, near Lake Zurich, since 2024.

Küsnacht is one of the most exclusive areas along the Swiss shoreline of Lake Zurich. E24 has been in contact with Peder Lorentzen, who has stated that he does not wish to comment on the matter. With the couple now being tax-resident in Switzerland, they are allowed to stay in Norway for a maximum of 61 days per year. Should they exceed this limit, they would be considered tax-resident in Norway.

Given that they have only 61 days available with their new home, they will pay less than a million per day for the time they remain in Norway. Earlier this year, the couple spent 19.5 million kroner on a cabin in Kragerø, where the Lorentzen family already owns several holiday homes. Lorentzen is an heir to Hans Ludvig Lorentzen and the shipping magnate Ludvig Lorentzen, having owned around a third of the company.

He was ranked third in income tax in 2024, earning 765.5 million kroner and paying 288.7 million kroner in taxes. Only three of the top ten income earners were still residing in Norway when the tax list was published last year.
