Spider-Noir Canceled at Prime Video After One Season

Amazon's Prime Video has ended the life of Nicolas Cage's live-action Spider-Noir after just one season, according to Deadline. The decision came only four months after all eight episodes premiered together in May 2026. The streaming service had ordered two Marvel series from Prime Video, but Spider-Noir was its last. Cage played Ben Reilly, a private investigator with spider-like powers in 1930s New York City.

Alongside Cage, the series starred Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, and Karen Rodriguez. While critics and fans appreciated the unique crime drama superhero spin, Spider-Noir only garnered 2.6 billion viewing minutes in its first six weeks, causing it to fall out of the top 10 charts. Despite its initial success, the show failed to gain enough audience support to warrant a second season. Other potential Marvel projects, like Silk: Spider Society, were also canceled.
