Russia Attacks Teva Pharmaceuticl Company and World Health Organization Warehouse in Ukraine

Russia launched a relentless barrage of drone and jet attacks on crucial Ukrainian pharmaceutical facilities and the World Health Organization's warehouse, focusing on the supply of life-saving medications. On September 3, Teva Pharmaceuticals, a 120-year-old Israeli-based firm with a $30.62 share price, faced two separate drone strikes on its warehouses.

The 120-year-old company, which trades on NASDAQ, reported a 21 percent increase in revenue to $103 million in the first half of 2025 compared to $85 million in the same period of 2024.

Moreover, the World Health Organization's main warehouse, which stores essential humanitarian medical supplies, also became a target, as confirmed by the pharmaceutical firm on Facebook. This latest assault adds to a series of significant hits on civilian logistics and retail sectors since early August, with up to 90 percent of modern storage facilities reportedly destroyed in some instances.

Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Taras Vysotsky, highlighted the ongoing assessment of the attack's consequences and the efforts to mitigate the impact on supplies, ensuring Ukrainian patients can still access their required medications.

Teva's statement emphasized the pharmaceutical industry's critical role in the healthcare system, stressing the need to protect uninterrupted access to essential treatments for patients. The company's financial health has been robust, with steady growth over the past four years, culminating in a substantial 21 percent revenue surge in the first half of 2025. However, the industry has faced such attacks before, as evidenced by the complete destruction of Optima-Pharm Ltd.'s central warehouse in October 2025.
