The Bono Regional Drug Law Enforcement Unit has arrested a 66-year-old woman, Mary Awuni, and her 29-year-old son, Maxwell Akukah, in Dormaa Ahenkro for allegedly possessing illicit drugs. During an intelligence-led operation, police recovered 147 yellow compressed slabs suspected to be Indian hemp, 270 boxes and 329 blisters of Tramadol, and 14 blisters of Rohypnol.
