Sony's September State of Play delivered a packed lineup of trailers, new reveals, and release date announcements, culminating in the official launch date for Final Fantasy VII Revelation on April 8, 2027. The event began with a live-action teaser from the upcoming Resident Evil film, immediately setting an intense tone before delving into a series of game announcements.

Marvel's Wolverine unveiled a fresh trailer ahead of its September 15 release, focusing on Bolívar Trask's mutant-hunting program. Ghost of Yōtei teased a new hardcore survival mode for single-player, allowing players to control characters from the original game and its sequel, including protagonist Jin.
