PicPay, a Brazilian digital bank, has introduced an integration with Anthropic's Claude that allows customers to inquire about their financial information through natural language commands. The new feature will be gradually rolled out to early-access customers on both Android and iOS platforms at no cost.
The integration focuses on providing answers to financial inquiries and monitoring, including account and savings balances, outstanding bills, investments, active cards, favorite Pix contacts, recent and upcoming transactions, credit card statement balances, and completed credit card transactions.
Customers can pose questions like "What is my available balance?" or "Do I have any bills due this week?" to Claude. However, it is important to note that the experience does not support any financial operations, such as transactions.
"As many of our customers take advantage of the leading generative AI platforms in their daily lives, we are focused on connecting PicPay with these ecosystems to create a more seamless financial experience," PicPay CEO Eduardo Chedid stated in a press release.
In August, PicPay launched an integration with OpenAI's ChatGPT for a select group of VIP customers, marking a new model of interaction between customers and financial services fueled by generative AI. The company also advertised on ChatGPT in Brazil to provide relevant information to users while they explore options, compare alternatives, and make decisions within the generative AI environment.
PicPay has been aggressively pursuing an AI strategy since the public launch of ChatGPT two years ago. The bank migrated all first-level customer service to the AI model and generated over 50 billion personalized recommendations for customers in the past year.
