Pas outlines seven strategic agendas ahead of GE16

KOTA BARU: Pakatan Rakyat (Pas) has outlined seven strategic agendas ahead of the 16th General Election (GE16), according to their president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang. The party is ready to collaborate with any party that can benefit the nation, without compromising its core policies and principles. This unity extends beyond the national level, encompassing state, constituency, and branch levels as well.

Hadi emphasized the importance of defending the party's victories in the four states of SG4 - Kelantan, Kedah, Terengganu, and Perlis. Every state legislative assembly and parliamentary seat won in the previous election must remain under Pas control. The party also aims to expand its victories in target states, bolster support among ulama, youth, and Muslimat voters, as well as strengthen its base with the Dewan Himpunan Pendukung Pas (DHPP).

Pas plans to enhance tarbiah and organizational strength, serving as the backbone of the party's success. The sixth agenda focuses on election machinery and information campaigns to secure victory, which includes selecting candidates who are steadfast in their commitment to the party, possess integrity, and hold significant influence within the community. The final agenda highlights the significance of high-impact dakwah and welfare initiatives.

During his policy speech at the 72nd Pas Annual Muktamar, Hadi encouraged all Pas members and machinery to utilize the muktamar as a platform for self-reflection, guided by the theme "Islamic Solutions for Victory." He urged them to strengthen their ranks with full obedience, steadfastness, and to expand the party's influence in society through dakwah, welfare, and efforts to unite Muslims.
