PAS eyes taking over Putrajaya through ties with BN

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has stated that collaboration with Barisan Nasional and Umno could facilitate PAS in taking over the federal government. He expressed confidence in the mutually beneficial relationship between PAS and its strategic partners in their pursuit of controlling Putrajaya. During a ceremony marking the party's 75th anniversary in Kota Bharu, Tuan Ibrahim mentioned that numerous other political parties are showing interest in cooperation with PAS.

However, he emphasized that the party would not abandon its principles for the sake of winning elections or seizing power.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang echoed similar sentiments at the same event, stating that stronger ties with Umno could aid PAS in securing more state victories. He referenced the recent success of the BN-Perikatan Nasional alliance in Negeri Sembilan, which reduced political tensions across the nation and increased Umno's engagement with PAS.

Hadi expressed the belief that a robust government could withstand attempts to overthrow it, citing Kelantan as an example of a PAS-led state government that had endured for 36 years in power despite facing political pressures.
