Oyo APC candidate donates N50m to market fire victims

Alli, the APC governorship candidate for Oyo State, has pledged N50 million to aid traders impacted by a recent fire at Oranyan Market in Ibadan. He made the announcement in a Facebook post on Friday, emphasizing the donation was to offer urgent relief to those who lost their businesses due to the blaze. Alli and his campaign team visited the market to assure affected traders of the promised assistance.

He reiterated that the government's commitment to supporting the traders was firm, stating, "The ₦50 million is just the beginning. The presence is the promise. This is Oyo AHEAD in motion." The fire, which broke out around midnight, affected approximately 300 shops dealing in diverse goods like gold, furniture, and second-hand clothes.
