Opening Date Announced for New Major Govt Hospital in Islamabad

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the opening date for the new major government hospital in Islamabad during a recent review meeting. The project, which includes the construction of Jinnah Medical Complex and the Polyclinic Phase-II extension, is set to be completed by March 2027. The prime minister emphasized that delivering high-quality healthcare to the public is the government's utmost priority.

Officials showcased various construction designs and proposals for the Jinnah Medical Complex building. It was decided that the ongoing work on the Federal Government Polyclinic extension in Sector G-11 would serve as the initial phase of the Jinnah Medical Complex. This strategic move aims to expedite the hospital's operational phase and enhance healthcare services for Islamabad's residents.

During the meeting, the prime minister directed that the facility should be equipped with modern and advanced medical technology. He also called for accelerated reforms in the healthcare sector and stressed the importance of third-party validation while monitoring the project's advancements.
