Onslaught movie review: Adria Arjona’s slasher thirller is all guns, little fire

Celeste, a troubled ex-Marine, lives in a trailer park with a group of like-minded individuals. Her ex, who dropped off their daughter for the weekend, brings potential danger to the trailer park. Celeste's suspicions about a top-secret experiment happening in her yard are confirmed when she sees two Black Hawks flying overhead.

She shares this with Josiah, a fellow veteran. A German couple, portrayed by Dan Stevens and Rebecca Hall, are involved in the experiment, creating "super soldiers" without conscience to be used against their own people. These soldiers eventually break free and target Celeste's trailer park, where her ex-Marine is determined to take care of them.

Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie falls short of being a true slasher or thriller, with insufficient action or surprises.
