Oburu Odinga in high spirits as John Methu checks on him

Nairobi, Kenya - On September 4, Nyandarua Senator John Methu paid a visit to Siaya Senator and ODM leader Oburu Odinga at his residence in the capital. Methu reported that Odinga appeared to be in high spirits during the check-in. The senator had been recuperating at home after a recent hospital visit. Methu's visit was among several recent ones from political figures who are showing concern for Odinga's wellbeing.

Earlier on Thursday, Odinga received a call from Senate Energy Committee Chairperson Senator William Kisang, Vice-Chairperson Senator Beatrice Ogolla, and Engineer Nicholas Gumbo. These meetings enabled the leaders to discuss the Senate Energy Committee's operations, agenda, and policy oversight in the energy sector. Odinga emphasized the importance of collaborative leadership in promoting sustainable development and accountability across the nation.

Despite being 82 years old, Odinga denied recent reports that he had been readmitted to the hospital, stating he was feeling well after a brief medical check-up. He urged Kenyans not to be alarmed by health reports, asserting that he would inform the public if he were to become truly ill.
