Nikita Porwal channels Devi Meenakshi at Miss World 2026; Internet wants her to ‘bring back the crown’

The Federal Government has called on Nigerians to support Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, also known as Soye, during the 73rd Miss World Festival taking place in Vietnam. Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, praised Karibi-George for her performance at the global pageant and urged Nigerians to vote for her as the competition progresses to its final stages.

Karibi-George's progress to the Top 40 and her recognition as Africa's Top Model have made Nigerians proud, according to the minister. She also commended the beauty queen for using her platform to promote Nigeria and advocate for issues affecting young people. Urging Nigerians to support Soye, Musawa noted that voting would close in nine hours.

The minister encouraged the public to share information about the voting process and to encourage others to back the Nigerian representative. Karibi-George, a 26-year-old communications professional, was crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 after winning from 20 finalists. A native of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, she previously won Miss Africa International 2024 in Accra, Ghana.

At the ongoing Miss World festival, she has emerged Africa's Top Model and secured a spot among the Top 40 contestants.
