Nigeria exported 281 non-oil products in 2025 – WTC boss

Karim Ahmed, the Vice President of the World Trade Centre Abuja, announced that Nigeria exported 281 non-oil products to 120 countries in 2025. These exports generated a record-breaking $6.1 billion, according to Ahmed, marking the highest documented non-oil export performance in the nation's history. The announcement was made at the Premier Export Launchpad Bootcamp organized by the World Trade Centre Abuja.

Ahmed highlighted that while Nigeria's products were gaining access to international markets, the challenge lay in ensuring local businesses could compete sustainably in the global market. The export figures demonstrated that Nigerian products were already finding markets worldwide, but businesses needed to overcome challenges such as market knowledge, standards, certifications, logistics, documentation, payment systems, and consistency to maintain their presence in international markets.
