Mirzapur: The Movie has defied Bollywood's usual star-driven opening formula, generating strong early trade buzz. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 3.18 crore net by Day 1, playing in over 3,184 theaters nationwide. Total India collections stood at Rs 3.75 crore gross. Advance bookings alone for opening day fetched an estimated Rs 9.19 crore, with block bookings pushing the figure to Rs 12.55 crore.

Trade insiders had predicted an opening day of around Rs 25 crore net, placing it among the highest non-star-led openings in Bollywood history. Surprisingly, there wasn't a big-name star leading the box office draw; instead, it was a gangster drama with a dedicated fanbase. Ticket prices remained reasonable in most theaters, but surged in major cities, with some centers charging up to Rs 1,800 for premium seats. Post-credits, Shriya Pilgaonkar teased fans to stay back, adding an extra layer of mystery.
