Massive late-night crash completely blocks NKVE northbound [WATCH]

At approximately midnight, a devastating collision on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near Shah Alam completely halted northbound traffic. The incident took place near Km8.4, on the route from Setia Alam to Shah Alam. In an update at 11:27 PM, traffic management company PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) reported that all northbound lanes were obstructed.

Motorists were advised to exit at the Setia Alam toll plaza and utilize alternative routes. As of 12:04 AM, the situation remained unchanged, with traffic still immobilized. In addition to the northbound lanes, the right lane of the southbound carriageway was also blocked. Images and video footage from the scene depicted a substantial highway gantry lying across the road, alongside numerous heavy vehicles, such as lorries.

Debris was scattered across the highway and the central divider, while emergency vehicles were present at the scene. Another set of photographs from the opposite carriageway revealed a long line of vehicles caught in the gridlock. The precise cause of the accident and whether any casualties occurred were not immediately disclosed.
