Luna Band takes on Fitbit Air as global shipping finally begins

Luna has announced that its screenless fitness tracker, the Luna Band, is now shipping worldwide. Priced at $149 (€149), the wearable can be purchased directly from Luna's website, where customers can choose from a variety of band strap colors. Competing with established screenless fitness trackers like WHOOP, Google's Fitbit Air, and Garmin's CIRQA Smart Band, Luna aims to make a mark in the market.

Earlier this year, Luna hinted at its plans to enter this competitive landscape. Following its debut at CES, the company opened a waitlist for interested customers in May. Pre-orders began on July 4, with the first shipments set to commence on July 31. However, the initial Drop 1 offering, an invite-only experience, sold out rapidly, leaving over 100,000 people on the waitlist without the opportunity to secure the first shipment.
