Kriminalität: Haftbefehle gegen zwei Bulgaren nach Brandanschlag erlassen

Munich - Two Bulgarian suspects have been placed under investigation custody following a arson attack on a construction site near defense company facilities in Munich. The 28-year-old and his ten-year elder brother are accused of vandalism and attempted arson, according to the General Public Prosecutor's Office of Munich and the Bavarian State Criminal Office.

They allegedly hurled incendiary devices from a car. An investigating judge issued the arrest warrants. No one was injured and extensive damage was not reported. A witness spotted the suspected perpetrators at a gas station, after which the police detained the two men. No other suspects have been identified so far, according to a spokesperson for the State Criminal Office.

In the course of the investigation, three residences in the Munich district were searched and numerous items were seized, which are now being evaluated. The neighborhood surrounding the construction site is home to the headquarters of security technology manufacturer Rohde & Schwarz and drone manufacturer Helsing. It is publicly known that the latter supplies Ukrainian forces in the war against Russia.
