KKR to invest in Malaysia's Avisena Healthcare to support expansion

KKR announced on Friday that it has agreed to invest in Malaysia's Avisena Healthcare, marking an expansion of the global investment firm's involvement in the healthcare sector. KKR, which has allocated over $20 billion to healthcare worldwide, refrained from disclosing the financial specifics of the Avisena investment. The firm's involvement aims to bolster Avisena's next growth phase, encompassing the enhancement of multi-specialty services at its leading hospitals in Shah Alam and the development of new hospitals in the Klang Valley.

Elina Nadia Omar, CEO of Avisena Healthcare, expressed confidence in KKR's regional healthcare knowledge and broader experience to bolster the company's growth and provide superior care to more patients.
