Kavitha opposes move to phase out Intermediate education

Telangana State's Kavitha Kavitha, head of the Telangana Rakshana Sena, voiced her opposition to reports suggesting the scrapping of the Intermediate education system in the state. During a 'Save Intermediate Education - Jang Sairen' gathering organized by the Telangana Intermediate Education JAC on Friday, Ms. Kavitha stated that the Intermediate Board was one of the best in the country and warned against dismantling it as it would harm students' interests.

She criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for taking significant decisions without consulting intellectuals and subject experts. Ms. Kavitha also took issue with the Chief Minister's comments questioning the relevance of engineering education and advocating changes to ITI and polytechnic education. She accused the State government of wasting three years on an Education Commission, alleging that its recommendations were "tested, trained and failed" ideas.

Ms. Kavitha questioned the necessity of another commission being formed in the name of the K.K. Commission.
