Infosys brings enterprise context to CrowdStrike’s AI security push

Infosys is partnering with CrowdStrike to address the challenges posed by AI-generated vulnerabilities. Mayank Agarwal, vice president and head of cybersecurity Americas at Infosys, explained that AI can now detect millions of vulnerabilities in a single scan, far beyond what a single vendor can handle. This has led to the formation of coalition-style partnerships like Project QuiltWorks, where security platforms join forces with systems integrators to supply the enterprise context that AI alone cannot provide.

Project QuiltWorks, which CrowdStrike built, assesses and remediates AI-discovered vulnerabilities at scale by combining detection power with the deep understanding of a customer's business that only a long-term systems integrator can offer. Agarwal emphasized three key changes brought about by AI: the velocity, volume, and number of vulnerabilities.

These changes compress the time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation, from hours to seconds or even minutes. Project QuiltWorks now includes CrowdStrike's SafeMind, red team and blue team models introduced at Fal.Con, serving as an onboarding path for newer CrowdStrike offerings. Agarwal stressed that while the core principles of cybersecurity remain the same—zero trust, confidentiality, integrity, and availability—AI has fundamentally altered the speed and scale of threat detection and response.
