I'm Game Box Office Collection Day 1: Dulquer Salmaan's Film Opens With ₹5.05 Crore Net In India, Beats Toxic's Malayalam Opening

On September 3, 2026, Dulquer Salmaan's Malayalam action-thriller film, I’m Game, made its theatrical debut. Starring Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Kathir, Vinay Forrt, and Parth Tiwari, the movie is directed and produced by Salmaan, and is reported to be his biggest-budget project yet. According to Sacnilk, the film garnered an estimated Rs 5.05 crore net collection in India from 2,714 showings on its opening day.

The India-wide gross collection amounted to approximately Rs 5.90 crore, while the overseas earnings were around Rs 5 crore. Consequently, I'm Game's estimated worldwide gross collection on its opening day is Rs 10.90 crore.

Among Indian-language versions, the Malayalam counterpart accounted for the majority of the earnings, with an estimated Rs 4.30 crore. The Telugu version fetched around Rs 65 lakh, and the Hindi version generated about Rs 10 lakh. With these numbers, I’m Game has outperformed Toxic's opening-day Malayalam collection. Released on August 26, Toxic starred Yash and opened to a Malayalam collection of Rs 1.30 crore.

I’m Game's budget is estimated at Rs 80 crore, although earlier estimates suggested the production cost could have been closer to Rs 60 crore or more. Given the current momentum, the film would require a significant rise in daily collections and robust word-of-mouth to recover its investment and turn a profit.
