Google makes a compelling Wear OS watch, but it's not perfect.

I refuse to buy a Pixel Watch until Google changes these 5 things

For years, I have tested smartwatches from leading brands and logged nearly 2,000 miles wearing one. While Garmin, Apple Watch, and Galaxy Watch have been my go-to options, Google's Pixel Watch has never felt quite right. After testing the Pixel Watch 5, I remain hesitant about purchasing it. Google seems to be making progress, but there are five changes I believe are necessary before I'd switch to a Pixel Watch.

Firstly, the domed Actua 360 display on the Pixel Watch is stunning, especially when combined with a polished silver aluminum case and metal band. Secondly, the dual-frequency GPS accuracy of the Pixel Watch is on par with the best fitness watches available. Lastly, Google's fitness and health suite is now competitive with Apple and Samsung's offerings.

Despite these improvements, I cannot replace my current smartwatches with a Pixel Watch until Google addresses these five issues.
