I have enough experience to lead NPP youth wing – Chris Lloyd

Chris Lloyd, a hopeful for the National Youth Organiser position within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), believes his extensive experience in engaging young people and grassroots politics has equipped him to lead the party’s youth wing and aid its potential return to power in the 2028 elections. In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr Lloyd emphasized his commitment to bringing a new perspective to youth mobilisation and reinforcing the party’s structures at the local level.

Lloyd expressed his humility, acknowledging that he meets the necessary criteria and has extensive experience in youth engagement. He believes his background and understanding of grassroots politics make him a suitable candidate for the role. He identified a need to address gaps in constituency-level youth programmes and stated his intention to invest in strengthening these areas if elected.

The NPP youth wing, according to Lloyd, is one of the most active and visible structures within the party, necessitating strong leadership and substantial investment. He firmly stated that he aims to establish his legacy rather than merely replicating the methods of previous National Youth Organisers. Lloyd described himself as a highly effective mobiliser, capable of rallying substantial numbers of young people for the party's activities with minimal effort.

His primary goal is to re-engage disheartened young members of the NPP, win them back to the party, and contribute to its efforts to secure victory in the 2028 elections. Lloyd reiterated his commitment to seeing the party regain power and mobilising the youth to achieve this objective.
