How the top 25 high school football teams in the Southland fared Thursday

The top 25 high school football teams in the Southland region showcased their talents on Thursday. Santa Margarita (2-0) was set to play Palmdale Highland on Friday, while also facing Sacramento Inderkkum at San Juan Hills on September 12. Corona Centennial (1-1), however, did not participate in any games. St. John Bosco (1-1) had matches against Pittsburg on Friday and against Kahuku (Hawaii) on September 11.

Sierra Canyon (2-0) took a break from playing, with their next game against Honolulu St. Louis scheduled for September 10. Orange Lutheran (1-1) was scheduled to play Chandler (Ariz.) Basha on Friday and Gardena Serra on September 11. Mission Viejo (2-0) faced Folsom on Friday and San Diego Lincoln on September 11. Mater Dei (2-0) was set to play Highlands Ranch (Colo.)

Bishop Amat (4-0) won against Valencia with a score of 49-10, and faced Culver City on September 11. Corona del Mar (3-0) won against Huntington Beach Edison with a score of 27-7, and played against Newport Harbor on September 10. Yorba Linda (2-0) played against El Dorado on Friday, and also faced Esperanza on September 11. Westlake (3-0) won against Chatsworth with a score of 49-14, and played against Laguna Beach on September 10.

St. Bonaventure (2-0) played against Trabuco Hills on Friday, and had a game against Modesto Central.
