Google patches multiple browser bugs including one that was under active exploitation — so update now

Google has released Chrome 152.0.7977.82/.83 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, addressing a dozen security flaws. One of these vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-85046, is a high-severity zero-day flaw that's currently being actively exploited. This type confusion in V8 bug was discovered by security researcher Salvatore Gulizia, who was awarded $1,000 for his efforts.

Researchers have reported that this vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. As this is the sixth zero-day Google has fixed in Chrome this year, it's crucial for users to update their browsers immediately. This issue also affects other Chromium-based browsers such as Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi.
