Federal Tories launch ‘Conservatives for Canada’ campaign ahead of Alberta referendum

The federal Conservatives have announced a new campaign aimed at encouraging Albertans to vote for remaining in Canada during an upcoming referendum. This initiative comes as Albertans will cast their vote on October 19th to determine whether they wish to remain a province or initiate proceedings for a referendum on separation.

Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre had previously pledged to campaign against separation earlier this summer. To spearhead this effort, he appointed Parkland Member of Parliament Dane Lloyd to lead the campaign. Lloyd revealed that he spent the summer engaging with individuals from both sides of the debate, and it became evident that a concerted campaign was necessary to mobilize Conservative supporters and ensure their participation in the vote.
