Donald Trump Says Tiger Woods is in "Great Pain" after five year driving ban

Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States, recently commented on Tiger Woods' situation following a five-year driving ban imposed due to a car accident in March. The 15-time major winner, who appeared at Martin County Courthouse on Wednesday, entered a written plea of not guilty to charges including driving under the influence, property damage, and refusing to submit to testing. In addition to revoking Woods' driving license, he was fined $1,000.

Trump expressed his support for Woods, claiming the court's decision as "very fair." He also defended Woods by stating, "They didn't find alcohol on him. He didn't test positive at all for alcohol. He's a great guy." Woods' struggles with severe back pain and multiple surgeries are well-documented, according to Trump. The golfer, who has already been involved in four car accidents, believed that the issue stemmed from poor medical care, asserting that he had a "bad doctor."

In addition to his personal issues, Trump advised Woods to have someone drive for him due to his dangerous driving history. The U.S. President concluded by expressing happiness for his friend, as the saga has finally concluded, allowing Woods to focus on his return to professional golf. The 50-year-old has not competed since The Open Championship in July 2024.

Woods, who is a frequent competitor at the PNC Championship, missed last year's tournament due to his recovery from back surgery. The father-son duo, Charlie Woods included, missed last year's event and will be participating this year, which is scheduled for December 19-20, giving Woods ample time for a possible return.
