DICID Chairman reaffirms Qatar’s support for families

In Cairo, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board at the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID), reaffirmed Qatar's unwavering commitment to supporting families. He emphasized the nation's emphasis on the family's stability and the various national campaigns, including the "Family is The Treasure of a Nation" campaign, spearheaded by the Ministry of Social Development and Family.

During a speech on behalf of international organizations at the closing session of the conference on 'Family Challenges Amidst Major Transformations: A Fatwa-Based Approach to Protecting the Family, Envisioning its Future, and Preserving Identity,' Al Nuaimi underscored the family's pivotal role in educational decisions in Qatar. He explained that the educational process primarily originates from a stable, conscious, and integrated family, preparing children for their intellectual, academic, and psychological development.

DICID's involvement in the conference was driven by its keen interest in contributing to matters concerning the Islamic world and its desire to cooperate with official institutions globally. Al Nuaimi addressed the evolving challenges facing families in the modern era, including value-based issues and the erosion of family identity. He warned of the dangers posed by globalization, the information revolution, and uncontrolled technological advancements, which threaten the very fabric of family life.

To safeguard the family system, particularly the Muslim family, Al Nuaimi advocated for extensive research and a steadfast adherence to Islamic principles. He urged a critical examination of accepted practices, with a commitment to rejecting incompatible elements while remaining resolute in the values of the true Islamic religion. Al Nuaimi stressed that family matters are a unifying factor across societies, impacting social, economic, and political spheres.
