Dell, Armada form Saudi edge infrastructure partnership

Dell Technologies and Armada have entered into a memorandum of understanding to develop containerized mobile and edge data centre solutions across Saudi Arabia, according to the Arabian Post. The agreement, signed during LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, aims to provide computing and storage capacity close to operations for organizations with specific needs.

The collaboration focuses on sectors such as energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, and public infrastructure. While the value of any planned investment and a timetable for commercial roll-out remain undisclosed, both companies intend to reach enterprise customers through Dell's authorized regional channel partner network. The model is designed for projects requiring rapid, flexible access to localized computing and storage.

Edge computing processes data nearer to the source where it is created, which can reduce latency and enable faster responses for applications such as computer vision, sensor analytics, and automated monitoring. The partnership comes after Armada's successful work on edge infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia, including a collaboration with Aramco Digital and Microsoft in 2025.

This agreement broadens Armada's potential hardware ecosystem in the kingdom while providing Dell another route for taking enterprise infrastructure outside traditional data centres.
