Circular Ring 3 Adds Glucose Insights: Which Model Fits Your Needs

Circular, a wearable technology company, has unveiled its latest smart rings, the Ring 3 Slim and Ring 3 Pro, at IFA 2026 in Berlin. These rings add non-invasive glucose insights, contactless payments, haptic alerts, and up to 12 days of battery life per charge. While both models feature contactless payments and haptic alerts, the Ring 3 Pro includes additional health insights like ECG-based atrial fibrillation detection, which is intended for wellness information rather than diagnosis or treatment.

The Ring 3 Slim is thinner at 2.35mm, while the Ring 3 Pro is 2.78mm thick and boasts a longer battery life of up to 12 days compared to the Slim's 10 days. Both models support wireless charging and are available in US sizes 6 through 14, with finishes including Gold, Silver, Rose Gold, and Anthracite Black. The primary distinction between the two models lies in their health features, with the Pro offering more advanced sensors and longer battery life.

Both rings track core wellness measurements, such as heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, activity, sleep, and heart-rate variability, while the Ring 3 Pro adds ECG recordings and atrial fibrillation detection. Circular's proprietary AI health companion, Kira, interprets the wearer's data and offers guidance through the iOS and Android app.

The haptic feedback feature allows both rings to deliver discreet reminders and silent alerts, such as guiding breathing sessions, prompting medication reminders, or notifying users of abnormal heart rates or rhythms.

It is important to note that Circular has not disclosed details about the user interface for glucose insights within the app, and these features should not replace authorized medical devices or professional medical advice. Preorders for the Ring 3 series open in December 2026, with pricing and delivery dates to be announced at that time.
