Chinese man sent to prosecution over alleged murder of student

A Chinese university lecturer is facing charges for the alleged murder and dismemberment of a 25-year-old female student in Gyeongsan, South Korea. The incident reportedly took place in Zheng Changsheng's home on August 20th. The victim's body was found mutilated and scattered in various locations across five cities, including Gyeongju and Gunpo near Seoul.

Zheng is also accused of misleading police by initially reporting the victim missing and removing her cell phone while masquerading as a woman. Prosecutors claim Zheng's fears of losing his job were driven by his girlfriend's threat to reveal their relationship to the university. A psychopathy evaluation, though conducted, did not classify Zheng as a psychopath as his score was below the required threshold of 25 points out of 40. The search for the victim's remains is ongoing.
