Cascador supports growth-stage companies

Cascador has chosen 10 Nigerian growth-stage companies to receive individual assistance through its 2026 ScaleUp Programme. This 12-week program targets businesses in various sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, and clean energy. The selected firms represent businesses with proven traction and are poised to expand their operations, create jobs, and contribute to economic growth.

Participants will receive two weeks of in-person sessions, including a kickoff and pitch week, as well as 10 weeks of virtual sessions. The programme will also provide participants with access to a Live Pitch Day, where they can compete for $50,000 in prizes. This support is in addition to the potential for follow-on funding through Cascador's Catalytic Fund, which provides up to $5m annually in growth capital.

The CEO and Co-Founder of one of the selected companies, Venco, expressed excitement about the program's potential to accelerate the company's growth and transform the way residential and commercial communities operate across Africa. Cascador notes that 60% of the businesses in the new cohort are led by women, and founders come from five of Nigeria's six geopolitical regions.
