BBVA ficha en Boston Consulting a su nuevo responsable de desarrollo de software

Joseph Saab, with over 25 years of experience in engineering and technology, has been appointed as BBVA's new Chief Global Software Developer to bolster the bank's engineering capabilities and scale the use of artificial intelligence (AI), according to industry sources. Saab replaces Sergio Bonich, who is taking on other responsibilities within the bank. Prior to joining BBVA, Saab served as Director at Boston Consulting Group Platinion for over seven years, focusing on technological architecture and digital projects.

Saab's career includes leadership roles in international teams, with a focus on evolving platforms and modernizing core banking environments. Throughout his career, he has managed the execution of large-scale technological programs. In his new role, Saab will help strengthen BBVA's software development capabilities and modernize the bank's technological platforms.

BBVA is a pioneer in Spain in technological transformation and AI, having created a dedicated AI Transformation area in May, which sits at the first level of the organization. The bank is concentrating all employees with a technological profile, regardless of their location.
