Bardella signs pact with Farage to stop small boat crossings 'forever'

Farage and Bardella have joined forces to implement a strict policy aimed at preventing illegal migrants from crossing the English Channel. Bardella vowed that if his party came to power, France would no longer serve as a gateway for migration into the UK; instead, illegal migrants would be returned to their country of origin.

He emphasized that the destination of illegal immigrants entering France would not be the UK, but rather their country of origin. National Rally president Bardella and Reform leader Nigel Farage signed a memorandum of understanding, outlining the proposed plan, reminiscent of a strategy employed by US President Donald Trump. Both parties are currently leading in their respective countries' polls, and the agreement could facilitate the implementation of "pushback" measures, intercepting boats launched from French waters and returning those on board to France.

Reform home affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf stated that Farage's first act as prime minister would be to ensure no unauthorized vessels reach UK shores. Bardella, a 30-year-old French populist, drew parallels between Britain and France, highlighting their shared desire for protection and a strong nation capable of determining its own future.

He criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, accusing him of failing to safeguard the country, and asserted that France must take back control and uphold its commitments. Bardella concluded by urging Reform activists to continue flying the Union Jack and never apologize for patriotism. The alliance between the National Rally and Reform UK offers international reach for the latter, while Bardella's populist rhetoric and strong youth following in France have contributed to his prominence in French politics.
