Subscribers have the option to cancel the service at any time. A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, Christian Castro, voluntarily surrendered to federal authorities after being charged with making false statements regarding the shooting of a Venezuelan man during the Minneapolis immigration crackdown. Castro turned himself in on charges related to the false reporting of a crime surrounding the incident that occurred in January.

The federal charges stem from Castro's previous release from jail following Texas' governor's decision not to sign an extradition warrant to hand him over to Minnesota authorities. Minnesota authorities have separately charged Castro with assault and false reporting of a crime connected to the same shooting. Initially, federal authorities accused Sosa-Celis and another individual of assaulting an officer with a broom handle and snow shovel during the confrontation.

However, video evidence later emerged suggesting the officers may have lied about the encounter, leading to the dropping of charges against the men and the initiation of an investigation. Castro is the first federal immigration officer to face prosecution by the Trump administration related to actions taken during Operation Metro Surge in the Twin Cities, which began in January 2026.
