60-70% questions about post on Home Minister, Home Secretary: Ex-civil servant Ashish Joshi

Former civil servant Ashish Joshi, questioned by Delhi Police Special Cell for nearly nine hours, revealed on Thursday that 60-70% of the police's inquiries centered on a post he made on August 12 about the Union Home Minister and Home Secretary. Joshi, who claimed he was summoned in connection with his August 26 post on X regarding the West Bengal elections, stated that the Special Cell's Counter Intelligence (CI) unit registered a case against him under Section 192 of the BNS for provocation leading to riot.

The police were particularly interested in identifying the source of his information, as Joshi had declined to disclose it, deeming it unethical and intellectually dishonest. The questioning also extended to Joshi's August 26 post, in which he questioned the electoral process and made a reference to a "Nuremberg-style trial." Joshi explained that the Nuremberg trials context pertained to holding accountable those who betray the Constitution of India.
