5 year old boy forced to stand naked in front of classmates at Bangkok school

A five-year-old boy in Bangkok was forced to stand naked in front of his classmates as punishment for not finishing a coloring activity. The boy's parents reported the incident to the Pavena Foundation for Children and Women after their son became distressed, reluctant to eat or sleep, and afraid to return to school. The foundation received the complaint on September 4.

The grandmother noticed the boy's uniform was inside out when he returned home on August 27, leading her to question the child about the incident. The boy explained that a teacher aide had punished him by making him remove his clothes and stand in front of the class, leaving him embarrassed and crying. The grandmother initially did not inform the parents about the incident, but the child disclosed it to his mother on August 29.

The mother then sought information from the class through LINE, but there was no response. The teacher aide later apologized privately via LINE, admitting to the punishment. The mother shared the details on the parents' LINE group and reported the incident to Rat Burana Police Station on August 30. The school's management informed the family that the teacher aide could only receive a warning and could not be dismissed or taken further action.

The foundation plans to investigate the incident with Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt and the police, and will also provide psychological support for the child. The school and teacher aide have not commented on the allegations as of September 4.
