2027: I’m ready to die protecting my vote, no more intimidation – Peter Obi

Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Peter Obi, declared his readiness to sacrifice his life to safeguard his vote in the 2027 elections. In a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Obi urged Nigerians not to allow intimidation at the polling stations during the 2027 election. He warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against tampering with election results.

Obi emphasized that, unlike previous years, a small number of officials at polling booths - averaging five - cannot intimidate or control the large voter turnout of 40 to 50 people. He stated that together, the people will protect their country. Obi alluded to a previous statement, "We are ready to die," and affirmed that he, too, is prepared to lay down his life for the cause.

He assured the audience that measures would be taken to prevent intimidation, with improved communication systems to thwart such attempts. Obi also mentioned the increased number of Independent Rejection Devices (IReVs) this time around, but was confident that glitches would be quickly addressed, lest they disrupt the electoral process.
