‘ZOMBIES’ Actress Carla Jeffery Dies at Age 33

Carla Jeffery, the actress who portrayed the character Bree in Disney Channel's ZOMBIES movie musicals, has passed away at the age of 33, her talent agent announced on Wednesday (Sept. 2). In an Instagram post, it was reported that Carla had taken her last breath on September 1, 2026, at the age of 33. The statement on her Instagram page expressed profound sadness, stating that Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the tender age of 12.

Over a span of more than two decades, the agent recalled, they had witnessed Carla's growth into a "beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room." Carla was celebrated not only as a client but also as family by the talent agency. The statement concluded with an appeal for privacy during Carla's family and loved ones' grieving process, asking them to respect their need for solitude during this devastating time.

Carla's light, the statement assured, would never be forgotten. Born in Houston, Jeffery began her acting career as a pre-teen. Her initial on-screen role was as a 10-year-old version of Mo’Nique's character Jazmin in the 2006 film Phat Girlz. Between 2007 and 2009, she had a recurring role as Keysha on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

It was in 2018 that she landed the role of Bree in Disney Channel's first ZOMBIES movie musical, which she played in all three subsequent ZOMBIES films up until 2022's ZOMBIES 3. Carla also provided the voice for Bree in Disney's 2024 animated series Zombies: The Re-Animated. Fellow actress Freya Skye, who joined the Disney Channel series in ZOMBIES 4, expressed her condolences in the Instagram comments on Wednesday, describing Carla as a "wonderful, bright, joyous human" and wishing her a peaceful rest.
