YouTube Star MoistCr1TiKaL Is Making a Full-Length Animated Movie Based on His Godslap Comic, Coming to Theaters in 2028

Charles 'MoistCr1TiKaL' White, a prominent YouTube star, is developing a full-length animated film based on his comic series, Godslap. The movie is set to be released in theaters in 2028. The teaser trailer, released on September 3, 2026, showcased the high-quality animation from Powerhouse Animation, who are also known for their work on Netflix’s Castlevania: Nocturne and Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

In a YouTube video, White explained that the story revolves around Aius, a young man blessed with a powerful slapping ability. However, his father, Darius, is extremely protective of him due to fear of what his powers could do if Aius were to venture outside. White approached Powerhouse Animation about the project as far back as 2018, but ran out of funds and eventually abandoned the idea.

In 2023, Powerhouse reached out to him again, expressing interest in adapting Godslap into an animated film. White, who is financing the entire project himself, plans to release the movie in theaters, making it the second influencer-led project to have a theatrical release after Markiplier's independent horror film, Iron Lung. The YouTuber has been hands-on with every aspect of the project, and he sees it as his lifelong dream come true.
