Currently, Wipro Kawasaki operates a manufacturing unit at Kumbalgodu, where 80,000 hydraulic pumps are produced annually. The proposed plant will increase annual production to over two lakh hydraulic pumps. Patil expressed enthusiasm for the project, urging the company to commence necessary work immediately. Final approval for the investment proposal will be determined at the next meeting.
