Why Cristiano Ronaldo's sister is suddenly in Kerala

Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time, has a legion of devoted fans across the globe. In India, particularly in the southern state of Kerala, the sport holds a special place in the hearts of its people. It came as no surprise that Ronaldo's elder sister, Elma Aveiro, arrived in Kerala to be greeted by a wave of excitement.

Elma, a Portuguese businesswoman and director of the CR7 brand, traveled to Kozhikode to inaugurate the Sparkle Diamond Fest at Boby Chemmanur International Jewellers. This marks her first visit to Kerala, where she plans to spend two days.

Upon her arrival, Elma met with Kerala's Chief Minister, V D Satheesan, who shared with her the immense admiration Ronaldo's fans hold in the state. It was revealed that Ronaldo himself is a fan of the Chief Minister. Elma promised to relay the warm wishes and love of Kerala's football fans to her brother. The connection between Boby Chemmanur, the jeweller involved in the event, and football royalty is not new.

Chemmanur had a close association with Argentina legend Diego Maradona, who visited Kerala in 2012 for the inauguration of a showroom in Kannur. Maradona went on to become an ambassador for the Boby Chemmanur Group, and the two shared a close friendship.

Now, fourteen years later, Ronaldo's sister has arrived in Kerala through the same jewellery group. Elma's visit to Kerala has undoubtedly brought joy to the state's football fans. It is hoped that this connection may pave the way for Ronaldo to also make a trip to the state, known as God's Own Country.
