Wajir West MP backs Ruto as community endorses his re-election

Wajir West MP Yusuf Mohamed Farah has urged residents to back President William Ruto's re-election in the 2027 General Election. Speaking at a community gathering, Yusuf highlighted government development projects in Northern Kenya, including affordable housing and housing for police officers. He urged young people to register as voters and emphasized the need for unity during the upcoming elections.

The Rebkey Omar community, a part of the larger Rerow Mahmoud community, endorsed Yusuf for another term as Wajir West MP. They praised his development record and engagement with residents during his first term. Other community leaders also supported his re-election, emphasizing the importance of completed projects and unity. Yusuf won the 2022 General Election on an ODM ticket but now faces competition from rival Ahmed Kolosh, who is seeking a gubernatorial seat.
