Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Govt Becomes Strong Support For Dignified Marriages Of Daughters As Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana Gains Momentum

Lucknow, September 3, 2026 - Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government in Uttar Pradesh has established the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana as a robust support system for the dignified marriages of daughters from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This scheme has already facilitated the solemnization of 17,758 marriages during the current financial year, with a target of conducting 72,448 mass marriages across the state.

Thus far, 20,042 out of 72,787 applications received have been approved, while 7,245 were deemed ineligible. Pilibhit leads the state in the implementation of the scheme with 1,271 couples benefiting from it, followed by Shahjahanpur with 1,063 marriages, Sultanpur with 1,040 couples, and Rampur with 1,031 couples. The government is dedicated to ensuring that needy families receive financial aid without facing any obstacles, and is employing advanced technology for verification processes, including e-KYC, digitally verified income and caste certificates, and an upcoming Aadhaar-based payment system.
